1. Accepting these Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who can use Narrative

Narrative is designed primarily for adults. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please review these Terms with a parent or guardian who agrees to them on your behalf.

3. Your license to use the App

Subject to these Terms, Narrative gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not unlawfully copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, reverse engineer, disrupt, or remove rights and attribution notices from the App. These restrictions do not limit rights you may have in public-domain or openly licensed material.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services unlawfully; infringe another person’s rights; interfere with or gain unauthorized access to the Services; submit spam, harmful, false, or abusive material; or use Narrative’s name and branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

5. Feedback and submissions

If you join the waitlist, answer a survey, or send feedback or ideas, you agree that Narrative may use that feedback to improve the Services without payment or obligation. Personal information included with a submission is handled under our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property and third-party content

Except for third-party content, the App, Site, visual design, editorial material, software, logos, and Narrative marks are owned by Narrative LLC or its licensors and protected by applicable law.

Narrative also uses public-domain and openly licensed material, which may include Bible translations, cross-reference resources, historical data, fine art, fonts, icons, and open-source software. Those materials remain subject to their own licenses and public-domain status. Credits and license details will be published before launch.

7. Links to other sites

The Services may link to third-party websites and resources. Narrative does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or practices.

8. Disclaimers

Narrative is a tool for reading and exploring the Bible. Card summaries, connections, timelines, maps, and other explanatory material reflect editorial work and may contain errors or interpretive choices that not every reader or tradition shares. Narrative is not a substitute for personal study, the local church, or professional advice.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, complete accuracy, or preservation of locally stored data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Narrative LLC and its owners, members, employees, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the Services.

10. App Store terms

If you receive the App through Apple’s App Store or TestFlight, these Terms are between you and Narrative LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries may be third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

11. Changes and termination

We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Services and revise these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. Narrative may suspend access for violations of the Terms or if the Services are discontinued.
